Sighting

A beautiful afternoon by the Lake just as the big public holiday celebration was due to start. I was sat at a table by the lake, the rugged older man dressed in black as you passed by with your two friends. I could hear that you were British, possibly southern.

We shared eye contact, sustained numerous times as you decided where to eat before choosing the place adjoining mine. I knew instantly that you would choose to sit at a table close to mine and make sure to choose the end seat knowing that I would notice you. I was glad that you did.

I was mesmerised by your beautiful face and captivated by the toned definition of your legs as we exchanged little glances.

I am kicking myself that I didn’t introduce myself and make the connection we both wanted…so here I am!
