Sighting

We perched on an old tomb in the St Mary Magdalen Churchyard park in Bermondsey and watched the eclipse. Neither of us had brought glasses but someone was passing them around, and we bonded over colanders and memories of ‘99. You were pretty in sportswear, but I didn’t ask you out as I was in barely-acceptable-to-leave-the-house shorts and T-shirt.
