Sighting

We took turns taking glances at each other from across the room while waiting to board our flight from LAX to ATX. You boarded and I thought, if it’s meant to be I will run into you again. I missed my morning return flight to LAX and had to get on standby for the 2pm flight back. I spoke to the gate agent, and turned around and you were there. I was wearing my tan coat and was rolling my hot pink suitcase, and you recognized me from the flight from LAX. I told you it was really good to see you again, then frantically ran to security to talk to the gate in hopes of getting off standby. By the time I processed that I saw you again, I was already at security, hoping we would meet at the gate and regretting not talking to you longer. You walked up to the gate as they called your section to board, wearing the same white shoes and black hat from the last flight. I watched you quickly walk through the boarding doors, hoping I would get off standby so I could talk to you when we landed. I was #8, and all 7 people ahead of me got off standby except for me. I’d love another chance to see you again.
