FAI cup Final Derry v Shelbourne
AvivaMeet
Dublin Ireland At halftime in the FAI Cup Final I moved seats. You came back from the food vendor area and sat between your son and I, who was a fan not of either team, but of Bohs and Liverpool. We talked about the economic ‘crisis’. I thought you had travelled down to the game from Derry (hadn’t het detected your accent) and I let you know I lived in Montreal, Canada and was home visiting family in the North. You told me you grew up in Blanchardstown and now lived in a town (didn’t quite catch the name) in Co Meath. You were wearing a fawn/beige winter coat, nice jeans and white trainers. I had in a black NORTH FACE winter coat, jeans and black and white Lacoste shoes. You left pretty much on the final whistle before the cup was awarded, taking me by surprise to the extent I failed to ask for your number.
