Sighting

I was sitting in the front section of Flor de Cafe in Mirador journaling when you sat down across from me to do the same thing. You are the only person in SD that I have seen journal in public aside from myself. You spoke English as well and would sing along to the music that was playing throughout the restaurant. I noticed because public sing along is something I also do. I was going through a very painful moment and felt too vulnerable to make eye contact. Later on, a female friend joined you and you ordered one of the waffle dishes. It was clear she was your friend. You ordered her a mocktail ahead of time, which I found thoughtful and sincere but not flirtatious. Overall, your energy surprised me as a Dominican man. You seemed kind and gentle.

I was wearing a long sleeved white shirt, have short, light brown hair and green eyes. You looked at me a few times. I could feel it but I was grieving and couldn’t muster the courage to connect.
