😍 I was singing in the car at the intersection & you smiled and sang from your car
(7/30/2025) I was sitting in the car at the red light in El Condado area of San Juan, singing my heart out, I look over, and there you were..smiling and singing back at me..your bright smile and light brown, long curls made my heart beat more than it already was. I continued to sing even happier than before. I decide to roll my window down and ask you your name and what you were up to (sadly, I can’t remember your name, but you were wearing a patterned red dress). You told me your name, and asked me mine..I asked you what your plans were and you said you were going to get something that you left at your sister’s place. Gosh..it hurts to write this knowing how it ends..but I’ll continue..you asked me what my plans were and I told you I was going to the beach, and that you should meet me there..you asked me what’s the street name that I’ll be at because it’s a big beach are..I told you “Calle Santa Ana” by Ocean Park Beach and to meet me there in 20 minutes..I’ll be there waiting..and I was…..20 minutes later, you came to the beach in your Red Nissan SUV. You told me that you couldn’t actually stay long because you had to go to dinner with your sister, but you came by just to get my number at least..I entered my number in your phone (or so I thought) and hit “dial.” I told you I was going out in the Old San Juan later in the night with some friends, and you smiled and signaled that it would be nice to find each other there..I told you that my last night in Puerto Rico is Saturday, before I go back to Virginia..anyways……you then left for dinner with your sister. I check my phone once you’re gone. And I don’t see any missed calls (which I should’ve seen because I myself hit “dial” on your phone after entering my number)…..I immediately think..”damn..maybe I typed in the wrong number” and I consider chasing after your car to make sure you had me in your phone correctly, but you were already gone..I haven’t been able to think of anything or anyone else since then….I’ve been hoping to God that you somehow have my number, or that we’ll find each other somewhere in The Old San Juan before I leave on Saturday…..my heart yearns to see your smile again..the way you received my beloved car-singing moment from your car, makes me feel an endless well of love for you..if anyone knows a skinny, pretty, 21 year old woman in Puerto Rico with light brown hair that drives a slightly older Red Nissan Rogue and is about 5’3”…..please tell her that Rubén hasn’t stopped thinking about her and looking for her..I hope that if things are truly meant to be, the world will show us its way of bringing us back together..officially.
