Sighting

you found ways to accidentally touch me all the time. i didnt say anything or object because it was nice; it wasnt unwelcome or a problem. but it was risky, and you know better. you’re way too good not to know it. if i had wanted to make trouble for you, I could have. i didnt. i wanted to be your friend, or more than that. You seemed well worth getting to know: smart, calm, sharp, humane, funny.  Now i’m confused. If it wasnt real, why did you bother? if it was real, why did you stop? Just like so much else, things are not adding up. i’ll live, but it really makes me sad. ive kept to my side of the line. No one made you reach out to me. it wasnt me who started anything.  Keep noticing the wasps, and watch out for those alligators out back. Write those words you tinker with down. Good luck.
