Sighting

We were sitting on the back deck of the ferry, you in a long green dress with thin straps, me in a blue shirt, dark trousers. You were wearing flat gold sandals. I think you were with your mother and teenage daughter, I was with a woman friend (not my girlfriend!). We looked at each other several times – I couldn’t stop looking at you – and you moved closer but you were with your lovely looking family and I was too shy to speak. For me you were the only woman on the ferry last Monday and I would love to see you again.
