😍 McMenamins Crystal Ballroom – Sunday, March 23rd
I had the pleasure of attending The Amity Affliction concert at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Sunday, March 23rd. Arriving midway through Many Eyes set, I navigated through the energetic crowd, through the moshing and circle pits I found a spot near the front left side, close to the barrier wall. There, I noticed you—your presence was captivating. It was as if the rock show went completely silent when we locked eyes for just a moment.
You were dressed in a flattering black skirt and sweatshirt ensemble, complemented by mid-calf Doc Martens that partially showcased your right calf tattoo, You also had a large upper tattoo on the same leg. Shiny black nails with pointed tips, tattoos on your forearm and hands. Incredibly gorgeous shoulder-length black curly hair that was mesmerizing, and I couldn’t help but notice the multiple-ring septum jewelry adorning your nose. Paring it all together with an all-black crossbody bag, Your style and confidence left a lasting impression on me.
Throughout the evening, our eyes met briefly, and each time, I felt a mix of nervousness and admiration. I regretted not finding the courage to speak with you, to ask about your thoughts on the performances and whether you were enjoying the show, who you may have come to see. As the night progressed, the crowd shifted, and by the time The Amity Affliction began their set, three individuals stood between us, making it difficult to connect. It was so incredibly annoying to just want to be in your presents while these guys in front of me were being dismissive and rude about being near you. I wasn’t sure if you had come with someone or with friends. I wish I could have been your concert buddy.
I was the guy in the white “Volumes” sweatshirt, with stretched ears, facial piercings, and a floral headband that pushed my hair back. I deeply regret not overcoming my shyness to introduce myself and share a moment of connection. With each passing day I do fear my memory of you will fade. If you happen to read this and recall our brief encounters, I would love the opportunity to meet you properly.
I hope that life is treating you plentifully!
