Sighting

This is probably a long shot, but here goes.

You got on Line 9 toward Pont de Sèvres with two friends around 3:15–3:25 p.m. You were the tall blond guy in an elegant light blue shirt, carrying a brown leather bag. I heard you speaking English, so I wondered whether you were visiting Paris.

The train was incredibly crowded and unbearably hot. We kept exchanging glances throughout the ride. At one point, you were standing in the middle of the carriage, looking uncomfortable because of the heat and your bag, so I moved to give you my spot by the side of the carriage, where you could lean comfortably and have a little more space for your bag.

Right before I got off at Miromesnil station, a man came through the carriage asking for help. I started searching through my bag for some coins, and by the time I finally found them, the moment had passed. I never got the chance to look at you one last time, smile, say goodbye, or simply introduce myself.
