Sighting

I came in late at like 10:30am when everything started at 10:00am. I’m the girl that walking in with the curly brown hair, orange long sleeve and blue jeans.

I didn’t notice you at first from across the room in the big circle we all were in, but you were right behind the teacher. While I watched her talk, I couldn’t help but notice you looking at me. When the class ended and we had to go upstairs, you came in later than the rest. You searched for a seat and you chose the one next to me on my left. When the assistant was talking, he was on our left by the entrance, and you seemed so nervous but trying to keep it cool. When we looked forward to the panel of speakers, I couldn’t help but notice you kept looking at me and would look away each time you thought I caught you.

You put your elbows on both arm rests on each side so I couldn’t rest my arm where I’d like to. You were super kind and polite to the guy with special needs behind us.

Earlier, during the acting exercise, you seemed to have changed the life of the guy you were working with. He was really enamored by you and you looked like it was no big deal. He even put you on the spot and everything.

The funny thing is, I’m not easily impressed at all. But for some unknown reason, I couldn’t speak to you or even look at you besides the small glances. I was nearly paralyzed. That kind of thing, I thought only happened in the movies.

  I was too nervous to even ask you for your name, I just took a glance and saw your name tag and it said Devin from the Blue Group.

They had separated us by color groups. I was in yellow. When they called the Blue Group, you took your time and I had gotten up to let you pass. I might be wrong, but when you noticed I wasn’t in your group, you took another look at me before leaving. I only saw you once before that and that was it.

I just wish I had the courage to get to know you. If you’re reading this, I’d like to meet someday.
