Sighting

You joined me on a packed Victoria line train a few stops before Highbury and Islington, where I got off. You were wearing a white t-shirt, you had a closely shaved head, you stood directly in front of me, apologised to me for not realising I was right behind you. You had kind eyes. For a couple of stops we stayed near each other (no choice!), in the noise and the wind of the tunnel. When I asked you to move so I could get off the train, you smiled again with your kind eyes. I thought afterwards that I should have given you my number on a piece of paper (‘excuse me, you dropped this’)
