Sighting

I approached you because I thought I’d met you before…
I asked you two questions:
1. “Do you speak French?”
2. “Did we meet before that moment?”
Then I backed away because I was embarrassed to approach you like that…
You looked at me fixedly, smiled, then got on the subway, and I stayed on the platform. I really want to see you again.
