😍 Pumpkin Farm
I was at Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm on 10/6/25 around 7 PM when my family and I loaded onto the hayride. They left no room for me on their side of the wagon, so I ended up sitting next to this woman in her 20s. She had a green long-sleeve shirt, jeans, brown hair, gray or white shoes, and was holding a black bag with designs on it, though I couldn’t tell what of or the colors fully because of the purple lights. She also had a toddler with her, probably around 2 years old, and was sitting next to a couple who seemed to be her family since they were interacting with the toddler.
One of my family members saw me sitting next to her and joked, “You joining a new family?” I replied, “No, you just left no room for me.” My family scooted down and made room for me, so I moved to sit with them. As I moved, the woman jokingly said, “You separated our family,” as if I was a part of her family, which felt like a joking way of wanting me to stay, even though I didn’t talk to her. All I did was sit for a few seconds. I didn’t fully process what she said until after I left the farm.
I know it was most likely just a playful comment, nothing serious. I wouldn’t have said something like that to a stranger personally; maybe that’s just her humor. But for some reason, that moment stuck with me. I wish I had talked to her and gotten to know her. I feel bad now, but I didn’t talk to her because, like I said, I didn’t fully grasp it at the time. I would love to have a conversation. Maybe I can get your socials?
