Sighting

Last Sunday - June 22nd, at 6:15 pm my friend and I got on the wrong ferry back from NDSM when we met.

You and I began talking because we were both commenting on the ridiculous pink promotional car that had boarded with us. It had eyelashes on the headlights and the car advertised “extensions for the stars” you said “this is not usual for amsterdam” we joked about effective advertising

The moment we met there was also a solar event - a sundog rainbow appeared in the sky - rare. I am a sucker for romance and I just watched Le Rayon Verte last night which made me revisit this moment, which is why I’m posting.

We talked for the short ride - you were headed to the park for a bike ride. You were from Syria but had lived in the Netherlands for years. I think you said your name was Amaar. You were so kind and easy to talk to (attractive too!) You seemed to be having a good day- bike and beer. 

As soon as you biked away I told my travel companion that if he hadn’t been there I would have made an effort to hit on you. He said he wouldn’t have minded and I have regretted not getting your contact info since.

I tried searching for you on the internet but I don’t know what you do for work.
