Sighting

I was the short girl with wavy red-blonde hair and a striped dress. You smiled and let me get on the train before you and some lovely drunk ladies came and sat with you after they’d seen a musical (one of them sat in the luggage rack). I sat parallel and secretly wanted to join in your conversation; you kept catching my eye and smiling, but I chickened out even after we got off the train at the same station. I hope I see you on the train again!
