Sighting

You reached the transit center from a MAX train (probably one arriving from Portland). I know that because I was being observant to see if any interesting woman would be exiting a MAX train and walking to a bus stop. [I am single and not currently dating anyone.] I initially saw you from a distance. When you were much closer to where I was standing (near a bus shelter) I couldn’t clearly see your face, because it was very dark outside, and my far sight vision is somewhat blurry. You were still walking at that time. A moment later, while I saw you walking, you saw me looking at your face and then you briefly made a certain gesture to me which gave me the impression that you were attracted to me, and largely because of that I later walked over to where you ended up waiting for the bus. In order to approach you I had to walk through a crowd of men (who were waiting for a bus). This required some boldness since many people saw me walk straight to you and begin talking to you.

We are both attractive and have tan colored skin. You are slender and healthy looking. Your eyes are black or dark brown. You are a Latina with very long hair that reaches down to about the top of your hips (or at least to your waist). Wow! Your hair style, besides its length, is very distinctive. The top half (or top two thirds) of your hair is black or dark brown, but the bottom portion is blond. Your hair has lots of body and it was placed in front of the left side of your front side. I get the impression that you are a nice friendly lady.

My racial mix is primarily white, but I am also partly of the black race. I thus have tan colored skin all the time (but my sister looks white). I have a great grandfather (or great-great grandfather?) who was a Spaniard. To some people, I look Middle Eastern. I have straight hair, except it tends to get wavey or curly when it gets longer. Also, many of my hairs have turned grey. I have a full beard, and it has some grey hair (primarily on the center of the chin and on the mustache). My hair is short. When you saw me, I was wearing super skinny jeans. We were each wearing a coat.

When I approached you (after you had walked past me and stopped walking), I learned you were waiting for the bus #76 and I told you I was waiting for the bus #88, but unfortunately by that time we only had 2 minutes to talk before my bus would arrive. [I wish I had made up my mind sooner to walk over to you.] We each smiled and were pleased with the conversation (which was primarily about the weather). Something you said gave me the impression that you are intelligent (a good thing). After a pause in talking, I said to you “My name is Gavin”. In response to me introducing myself, you very enthusiastically (and with very impressive gestures [which incorporated the type of gesture you gave to me when you were walking]) said “Pleased to meet you” to me. I wish I had asked what your name is and told you I am pleased to meet you (or said “The pleasure is mine” to you). [After I had left, I recalled that in a Spanish language college course I took years ago, that the phrase “Pleased to meet you” is an English translation of a common Spanish language greeting, and I recalled what the appropriate reply is to such a greeting.] I thought there wasn’t enough time to ask for your phone number and to also write it down, but before I walked way to board the #88 bus I enthusiastically said “Have a great night” to you. You enthusiastically replied. [I think you either said “Thank you” or “You have a great night also”, or something similar.] I wish I had told you that I like you and that you are pretty. I wish I had asked for your phone number and told you my phone number. In retrospect, I now know there was enough time to exchange contact information. I also probably should have decided to skip my bus and board the #76 instead, (though it would mean I would have to walk for about 7 minutes after getting off the bus), in order to have more time to talk with you. I very much hope to see you again.
